Thought a couple people might enjoy this article. Tried to make it serious yet humorous at the same time. Have a laugh about this Freedemian court case

The article

Remember everyone,

Turtlefruit DOES go on Pizacyros

lol

IT. DOES. NOT.

But then again, why fight over a pizacyro topping when you can be fighting against the wage gap?

XD Valid. (Though in Freedemia there theoretically isn't supposed to be a wage gap, at least not one based on genders, because the country has had a culture of "you get what you work for" mentality and with men and women being treated largely equally throughout the country's history, pay comes down mostly to productivity and efficiency.)

This totally needs to become a 'meanwhile in Freedemia' meme.

'QLine 10 DOES belong in QUARTA! '

'Foosball DOES go in the Geolympiad!'

Always enjoying references to actual real world memes and pop-culture in general (Can't put pineapple on pizza if there isn't any pizza taps head) Keep it up folks.

In the Pretanic Faction State, pizacyros eats YOU!

Willy Wonka: So, you put turtlefruit on pizacyros? You must be so popular at Thanksgiving.

Boromir: One does not simply put turtle fruit on a pizacyros...

(In OFGplanet, it's still 2006)

##International Reaction

Ernestpcosby- I have an idea, what if you do a follow up article on how Tourism was affected by this incident. For example serious countries like Hoppon would have their tourist numbers (probably small anyways) go down by 40% and how Freedemians are perceived would plummet in Hoppon, not because most Hopponese disagrees. But because Hopponese think it is an insult to Politics to argue over pizacyro. In Lallemand overall tourism would probably double (small country but has less work/school hours than most so it punches over its weight in terms of international tourism) this would mostly be due to the fact that that Lallemand would find Freedemians hilarious. The country would be split though with poorer people saying yes to turtlefruit or fruit in general on pizacyro or Lallemanyan equivalent and wealthier citizens mostly saying no. As it is Lallemand, someone in the poorer areas would probably get stabbed for disagreeing or assaulted.

##Memes Hopponese- would be known for memes like- Why so serious? [Conservative Hopponese leader insults Freedemians for defiling democracy by bringing up such a stupid topic, and calls for a nationwide ban on Freedemian products]

Lallemand- [in Quentinsburgh people boycott stores that don't sell Turtlefruit on pizacyros, in Lallemand those are fighting words.]

@eklas The wage gap is not an argument for inequality. It is simply the average income of men compared to the average income of women. Women are on the down side of the income only because women typically take on less valuable jobs than men. Men work as engineers, power plant workers, they work dangerous jobs. Women prefer to work less dangerous (thus a bit less paid) jobs, such as certain desk jobs.

(i get the feeling i am going to get attacked for daring to argue that inequality isnt a thing to me.)

An interesting case. It hinges on whether it is legal in Freedemia to not serve someone because you disagree with their beliefs, or what they claim to be their beliefs. We will have to see what the court decides. If pastafarianism exists in the real world, perhaps turtlefrutianism exists in OGF.

@Litvania That appears to be a misunderstanding of the wage gap - and your point is different from an argument that a wage gap is personally not important to you. As I understand it, there are two main parts to the wage gap. One reflects inequality of pay for the same work. For example, female engineers and power-plant workers may be paid less than their male equivalents even though they are doing identical jobs. We can perhaps say that men do these jobs more dangerously than women (as, for example, may be reflected in their car insurance premiums), and that, in a more equitable pay system, they should therefore be paid less for these jobs (as I think may be the case in Wiwaxia and Kėzėpölān). However, men may be promoted over women for jobs that involve more risk - as many middle-management jobs do - because of the structural set-up of most modern economies, which may result in more men in better paid jobs, a second reason for men having higher average incomes. A third explanation of lifetime lower earnings - that women do less paid work in their lifetimes because more time is spent doing unpaid work like bringing up children - is arguably slightly different from 'equal pay for equal work'. So, the wage gap is not 'an argument for inequality', but it is proof that inequality exists. It would be interesting to incorporate this detail into some country in OGF, since here it has no actual effect on any living person.

@ernestpcosby: So, with the case somehow making international headlines, the people of Mauretia were like 'what the heck is a turtlefruit?' This put a mad rush on the small and limited turtlefruit supplies at Oli! and other chain stores. Prices have spiked, but people are desperate to find out what this magical food from another continent is. Politicians are clamoring with trade companies and the Freedemian government to send more turtlefruit to eastern Uletha. The ports are open! :)

Yes, what is this turtlefruit we are hearing so much about in the media? And would go nicely with some ice-cream and a slice of this Gay Cake?
