Feedback Please!

Posted by Kazuya on 6 September 2017 in English (English)

Hi OGF Community!

It's me again. I have been mapping in my country, Freedonia, for many months now. So, I would like some feedback so I can improve my country. Also, I would also like my country to be like Japan.

Thanks!

No Highways and a more organic street plan would help. The city sis on a small island even farthest distance it would likely be only 20 minutes.

And please - smooth the curves of your railway. And I think, a railway-line near behind the Capitole looks not good.

It will be better if you add beaches on the coastlines and reduce the railways in the city (the stations also), although Japan cities have a significant amount, but only in large cities like Osaka or Tokyo. In such a small city lines will do with a few stations. The subways seemed to have no organisation as the network seemed random.

I will recommend railways to cross the islands and cities far apart, not too many within the town itself. I would like to see a massive railways thoroghtout the country which fits.

The highways i would recommend you to review. One expressway through the small city is enough.

Actually your almost random railway 'network' does give me a bit of Japan-ish feeling (been there), but it would work only if you mapped a metropolitan region, and your island seems a bit too small for that. So downgrading is the word - always a sorry feeling. The good news is that on OpenStreetMap you will be able to find dozens of japanese cities to study. The end result will be worth the trouble.

happy mapping !

Marcello.

Like I've read in the comments, the railroad system is still a bit much but like marcello said it gives it a Japan-ish feeling. But it still needs to be sorted out just a little? Looks good other than that!
