Plateaus?

Posted by Trombonist2003 on 26 December 2017 in English (English)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! Does anyone know how to make a large plateau in their nation? I'm thinking that you just put a cliff, but it is not very representative of a plateau and doesn't render as quickly as the structures around it. If anyone knows or has any examples, please tell me. Once again, Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Zekiel

There is a cliff on the map that I'm trying to use as a plateau, but it does not render as quickly as the road on the other side of the border (At Zoom 12). This is what I mean.

Location: Herconton, Béliĉe

There's a plateau next door that looks good. Following that example, you can show plateau slopes at a lower zoom level with areas such as land_use=forest, or natural=scrub, or natural=bare_rock, depending on their appearance.

Ok. I just wanted to see if there was a special tag for large plateaus, not using contours, that would render farther than normal cliffs. Still, this could work.

Thanks, Zekiel
