Seems like cities are now marked with a dot on the map, interesting. Anymore updates?

There was an update to the rendering that happened on OSM a while back. The way allotments rendered is different. Not sure of anything else, perhaps the priority given to shop icons over shop name labels but I might be imagining that.

Oh also the way access is shown has changed too, roads with no access are now dashed grey, paths with no access are totally grey.

Interesting; does this mean that the size of the dot will adapt if you add information about the number of people living in cities? That would actually be useful (at least to me)!

Yes it does indeed. It seems to distinguish capital cities, larger cities above 400.000 inhabitants and smaller cities under that amount. Previously only the name would show up larger and at lower zoom levels.
