Breassau - An Organized Collaboration Project.

Posted by oscar2002 on 27 October 2017 in Spanish (Español)

The last week I've been seeing the fantastic work that @bhj867 and other users are doing with the citi of Breassau, in Midistland. It would be great to have a planned proyect for the city like in Gobras city. I would like to work in a proyect that sems to be really interesting. So, what do you think?

I think that Breassau it a gerat oportunity for create modern city who isn't like ALL the regular cities with enormous suburbs that we can see in USA...

It would be very interesting to left down your opinions and share with all of us...

Have a nice weekend. Guillermo

Location: A6, Breassau, Midistland

That's what me and BHJ are planning Oscar! :P As an old member who was developing Bend as a collaboration before, i can help guide to those guidelines. Specifically, it's a German/Spanish infusion basically...but the east of Midistland is more German inspired. I hope to see you all contribute.

My aim is not to take over Breassau and the state for professional mappers, but make it new-mapper friendly basically. I want to trial placing down land-use and encouraging new mappers to build inside of the land-use areas to get a sense of scale better, it's hard to fit 2km big houses inside of a land-use piece of 1km by 1km :P

I will like collaborate. There's a lot of things to be down in this city.

Given the French names given by previous mappers, I suggest keeping the city to be French-like, though there can be other languages from west Europe.

The railways also needs work and stuff.

Yes, we are planning a collaborative project that is currently starting to slowly take shape. I unfortunately have broken my laptop so it's going to be about a week before I cam edit anything but when I get it back I will be making extensive land use edits and scale downs. In the meantime I encourage lessons to begin to delete anything lower than Teritery road on the eastern side of the lake. I also encourage mappers to scale down the cities to a level of 300-500 feet in width for city blocks. Thank you.

Thanks to all for the comments! @Aces California I think that your ideas are great. I have a question and some sugerencies:

  • What is exatly a German/Spanish mix? It refires the mapping style or the language use? (stupid question, but for me necesary)

  • It would be a good idea to divide Breassau and surroundings in quartiers like in Gobras City? With the same functions

*There's any plan for the developing of the city? I mean: now I see the city and there's a lot of elements that are "antinatural" or unrealistic, the higways for me sems to be so artificial. I would like to create a "more realistic" transport network for the city. Obviously It's not necessary to eliminate the higways, only make them more "organic".

  • The city: would be colonial (without old historical center like Whashington) or a milenial city whith a lot of historical landmarks?

Well @oscar2002, when we came up with a German/Spanish mix, it refers to both honestly. The country was intended to be multi-cultural and multi-lingual with German on the East coast and Spanish in the West coast. So Breassau would be more German in inspiration for mapping and language.

I think that would be something we can work on Oscar, dividing the state more than just Breassau. The capital and largest city I still intend to be Bend, so I think if we do divide Breassau up, it'll need to be into it's separate towns and villages in the state. But I think that should be for the future. I think we should start utilizing the Forums or at least a Talk Page in the Wiki if it's going to get that serious.

And yes we're going to redo EVERYTHING Oscar, The rivers, the landuse, the nature, the roads, the highways, EVERYTHING needs to be fixed. But for now, first stage for me and @Bhj867 is cleaning it up, removing current infrastructure, laying down the land-use and plan for what we want to do. We will get around to the highways and everything.

The direction our project is going to go in would be something we need to talk about as an entire group Oscar, as to if we want a historical/colonial city, or a more millennial/modern city. Which is as said why I'd like to start a forum thread or talk page for the project.

Actually Breassau is a slightly French name. Maybe there could be half French, Spanish and German in that town.

Actually Zhenkang, I find that Breassau sounds more German actually :P And to be fair, there's no room for 3 large languages to share a country.

Oh in my opinion it eez French. Actually zer are a few towns with three major languages. Maybe one of ze languages actually needs to be like the 'minority'.

Well, if we make French a regional language, it'll explain why the regions of Breassau and Shía are so small, maybe they became autonomous due to a French minority?

Maybe so. I am not sure about the stuff in Midistland overall. I did not compare this region with other regions. Maybe this region can stand out.

Hello, I've corrected the french names in the area - many of them were incorrect.

Also, mabye we could rename the city called Del Lamera to Lafrenière, judging the many "Lafrenière" names in the area and the obvious french setting here.
