I'd say "cooler" is in the eye of the beholder. Inkarnate is extremely different from OGF, not only in terms of what the editing experience is like, but also in terms of what kind of maps you can create.

On a related note, I suspect that there are a number of people around here who might actually find other sites or other software to be a better fit for the kind of mapping they really want to do. And in fact, I'd love to see a wiki page listing those other mapping sites and software, so that anyone who isn't a great match for OGF can easily explore alternatives that might suit them better.
