To answer your question... care about the scale, use a good editor to draw right angles, curves and do not forget the highways!

Have you done anything about scale? The gap between streets in Saint Renault is 7m whilst the gap between two lanes of your highway is 20m.

Your mapping doesn't have the care or attention-to-detail that I think characterises good mapping on OGF. It would only be worth making another diary entry if you really make big improvements based on the feedback you've received. I have seen some mappers improve hugely but you've been here since November making the same mistakes.

Just checked a different section of highway and there is a gap between lanes of 82m or 270ft.

It is quite unrealistic to have 50 by 50 foot blocks, that's barely enough room to fit one building if you count the width of the streets. Try using the scale helper tool that @mstr mentioned.
