Feedback on the Marvin CBD makeover.

Posted by AustinofOketia on 28 October 2019 in English (English)

I have redeveloped Marvin's main area with the towers and I want to know your feedback! This is but the first step in developing the nation of Oketia. I want to make it simple and easy to navigate but with a complex history. Any Feedback? I would love to hear from both new and experienced members to see what your opinion is!

Definitely looks great when zoomed out, good mix of amenities, etc. But the buildings look a little on the large side - a good idea would be to visualize how long 100m is.

Also, spacing and cleanliness are issues. There has to be 3-7 m at least between buildings and from the building to the road. This is of course, unless, what you have so far are just their rough footprints, because I see that they're not aligned with the roads (use either copy+paste from road segments, or JOSM plugins).

I'm also struggling to see the unity among the names used (right now I see a mix of Japanese and Singaporean/Malaysian languages - fellow SG here) but maybe some descriptions on the wiki helps.

Other than that, I'm definitely interested to see what you can come up with next.

ahh, fine ... again railway-curves with a radius lesser as 25 m. Again a new technical progress.

Buildings sizes are strange. I suggest removing the expressway through the city. And fix this stadium as well: https://opengeofiction.net/#map=15/-26.8426/145.9378

Not bad. I encourage you to use JOSM to see further progress, especially with building plugins and stuff.

While the nation's name is Japanese, and so is the motto, there is a variety of very different languages that I find in Oketia. I also found in real-life names such as 'Kyushu' and 'Honsho' (Honshu) which are two of the four biggest islands of Japan. You should think of changing the 'road-types' as some don't need to be trunk. You should also not focus on embassies, freeways, and airports before you start more development.
