Mapping Throughout the Ages

Posted by Lithium on 3 February 2020 in English (English)

In the short period that I have been on OGF I have heard about mapping your country throughout its history, by mapping, say 1850, and then 1900, and then 1950, and the present.(not sure if I explained this quite right). I would like to do this for a county that I have in Alormen, Central 22 (name coming soon!), but don't really what the best/good way to do it is. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, I sort of tried doing it with Silverdale, Apawiland, by using tracks and all; but, that's a poor example. One of the best examples in the Federal States would be either (listed in no order) Makaska, and Mennowa.

I have been trying to do this for my state, Makaska (AR120-58).

Currently, I have only done it for about 3 1/3 parishes (counties) in the northeast, which make up the Ohunkagan Metro Area. The region is currently at 1880. I plan to next try to move it all up to 1900.

I think it's a good idea, but it can feel tedious at times. I wish you luck.
