It does not seem there is a simple listing anywhere. You can do a search function on the wiki for a term like "Template:" (here is my result). There is a listing of uncategorized Templates. I found copying from wikipedia difficult because there are a lot of dependencies. One template requires another which requires another, etc. So far when I want a template, I have mostly just kind of studied the wikipedia templates and made my own "hack" efforts to copy the code without the dependencies. I am not that happy with my result but it will be a learning experience.

I was hoping for a copy/paste solution which does not seem to be the case. I would like to create an infobox template for companies and/or organizations, and one for sub-national states/provinces/territories, much like Infobox country

There appear to be two parts to a template. The data part that's copied in to an article (name = xxxx) and filled out, and a second part that formats the data ( The name is {{{xxxx}}} ).

Many examples for the first part. Can you tell me where to find the second?

You can look at the templates I've made so far, such as they are. Here is the one I made for subnational locations in Ardisphere: http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_FA-community I actually pieced it together copying from some work some other users here have done (I think http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_State_of_Picard, for example - I don't actually recall exactly). I'm using it for Ardispherian cities, counties and states, which show how I'm implementing them.

I also made this template for "bus companies" which I am hoping to generalize (as you say, for companies or organizations) http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_bus_company. I made this bus company as a test of this template: http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/TorreBus

I mean to add: feel free to go to the "edit" and cut and paste what you want from any of these. I have built them by doing that to other things found here or on wikipedia or other mediawikis.

Hi, Paxtar! When I dont have a template to edit, I use a little hack: I create a .PNG file, hehehe.

Thanks for the pointers. I didn't think to look under Edit or View Source, which is where the actual coding is located.

I'll spend a little time trying to figure it out and see if I have any success. If not, BMSOUZA's solution may be the workaround.

I spent a little time working on infobox templates, and I think I have a better understanding of them now.

I would appreciate a second (or more) pair of eyes to look at them, or try them out, and let me know if anything odd happens with them, or if there are any suggestions for improvements.

This one was based mostly on the Wikipedia Boeing company page. http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_Company Being used here: http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Watanabe_Industries

This one was taken mostly from the OGF country template. http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Template:Infobox_Subnational_Unit Being used here: http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Sabishii

I would like to make one more general one that is more focused on organizations other than companies, but will wait to see how these two work out.

Thank you for any feedback anyone can provide.
