Post When Comment
Breassau - An Organized Collaboration Project. 11 months ago

Thanks to all for the comments! @Aces California I think that your ideas are great. I have a question and some sugerencies:

  • What is exatly a German/Spanish mix? It refires the mapping style or the language use? (stupid question, but for me necesary)

  • It would be a good idea to divide Breassau and surroundings in quartiers like in Gobras City? With the same functions

*There's any plan for the developing of the city? I mean: now I see the city and there's a lot of elements that are "antinatural" or unrealistic, the higways for me sems to be so artificial. I would like to create a "more realistic" transport network for the city. Obviously It's not necessary to eliminate the higways, only make them more "organic".

  • The city: would be colonial (without old historical center like Whashington) or a milenial city whith a lot of historical landmarks?

I'm agree with all of you. But maybe will be better to expose all the opinions and then take actions. We need the approval of the admin team, if the admin team think our ideas ar ok, we can carry out plans.

We only need coordination.

I think that a good way to make solid collaborations is to create announcements in the map like in Openstreetmap. Voluntary projects for develop certain areas like AR120, or even private announcements for develop countries with a "guide" marked by the owner of the country.

@Friendrich Kirchen @trabantemnaksiezyc I wrote that in English because is more easy for me in that way. But since now I will try to write more in english. @trabantemnaksiezyc I'm agree with you, it's too difficult to restart now and make a common story for all OGF countries, but I think is possible to make the problem less important. The enormous handicap is that a plan for it requires a lot of time, effort and especially, coordination.

There are a lot of Green Countries that could be moddified for that purpose. Also there are a lot of space in Uletha for refuge countries in Antharia or Tarephia whith "European origins" that in their original countries are out of place. Also, for new users we could create a series of voluntary recomendations for create their countries in a good place.

What is our vision of OGF? about 1 year ago

Thank you to all for your comments. I think @Ernestpcosby said what I want to say with his ideas:

  • When I arrived here three years ago I missed something of “visual” help. Of course, a lot of users and the guides helped me, but read that (and read it in English being Spanish) is not the same that “see it”, so sometimes it was confusing, and above all when was about set up things like the API in JOSM. From there the idea of make videos like tutorials, for example: about scale, make realist buildings or highways, etc.

  • I also think that create a new admin, with the job of “guide” new users is an excellent idea, but it would be a hard job, I suppose.

  • Also, each new user could have a portion of land designated exclusively and elected for him. That would allow to new users to develop their mapping skills with the guarantee of that territory is only for him, and when he had a “good level”, he could take away their job to his own and definitive territory. Whit that action, we also would end with the “only 10 editions users with their own territory”…

  • About the age limit, everybody can lie to a computer, so I don’t know how we would solve this aspect.

Changes in Vinnmark about 1 year ago

Really I don't know if is a good idea comment these theme because I don't the owner of any territory in that area, but I... I think that Vinmark could be one of the more realistic countries in OGF: it haves the size and the hubication (surranded by very good and active mappers) for be developed with a hard level of detail. Now it have a great mapped and highly discussed geography (I read all about the theme, belive it or not) Finally, the borders of the country are one of my favorite in all OGF, I don't think that it looks "unrealistic", sincerely. SO here I finish with my irrelevant opinion

Yes, Puerto Elisabeth old town is very pretty (El Palatinado or Campos de Marte and also Ederra Auzoa)

Subproject, Collaboration, or Whatever? over 1 year ago

Hi! I always use JOSM. Although I do not consider myself by far an "expert" (not even an average user) but I know some tips I use to map the areas with more detail. Nothing special that could be considered "educational". If you want you can work in any area of Pohenicia, I have an eternal job, so just send me a message and I will give you more precise "instructions" to guide you.

Fixing my mistakes, apologies, invitations and thank you's over 1 year ago

Hello! I would like to congratulate you on the great work you are doing with the new capital of Drabantia. I especially like the walled area, I think it is much more realistic than the fortified areas that I have. As BMSOUZA says you should use this material in other personal projects, but if you want to get rid of it, I would be interested in getting this plant for some industrial infrastructures in Port Elisabeth and several churches for worship in the center of the city.

The headache that is Trevers over 1 year ago

@Luciano @Black Baron

High Zoom problems in JOSM about 2 years ago

Another extra entry: about OGF social networking also. about 2 years ago
