Is anyone else having problems with the JOSM Reverter plugin? I use this tool quite a bit, and it’s very useful. Recently I have been getting an error, and when I attempt a reversion, I get the typical JOSM message: “no changes to upload”. I guess this may be the first time I attempted the use the reverter since JOSM upgrade to version 11223. But I tried to use it with an older version of JOSM and got the same problem. Any thoughts?

Tried just now (on changeset 267461) and worked as expected? That’s with JOSM 11223. Can i try the changeset you were trying?

I was trying to revert changeset 267100 as a favor to user Boge. Check local history to make sure there will be no conflicts first if you want to try it. We would both greatly appreciate it.

The problem I’m seeing is definitely specific to my JOSM installs somehow. I dug out my old work laptop, which features JOSM vers. 7000, and a reverter test worked fine. I will have to troubleshoot later. It’s quite mysterious, because my it tried using JOSM 11223 on both my Linux and Windows installs at home, and both failed. If anyone else has some insights, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Well, it’s pretty interesting. I solved the problem.
For future reference, here’s what it was. There is a setting for the overpass API server. Under that setting is a checkbox marked “Use overpass server for object downloads”. I had this box checked - I think I checked recently thinking it would speed up downloads (which maybe it did, but not that much, anyway). Apparently, the reverter plugin does not like this checkbox to be checked, so it throws an error and never completes its download. By unchecking the box, the reverter worked fine.
