Is it blue - or is it not blue? It has been removed from the list of ‘open to edit’ countries. If it is not blue, what is the status of the edits in that country and the wiki content written about it? Cheers Udi
The wiki-content about Tara was written by me, as Tara was a part of Latina. So what will you write for the Tara-article if your general meaning is, that your world is isolated?
And I think, meanwhile the people of Tara are astonished, that a regime - that will have no diplomatic relations with everyone - set an island near the coast with an isolatated aluminium-work and made so the next secret part of an island-imperium. And not only Tara - provocant in the middle of latinian shipping lines. All that very unpolite from you and without any communication with me.
So see - Tara is not blue and will be a part of Latina again or may be a purple communitative country for interseted users, who communicate together at the devellopement of a country. That - so I have seen - is not your first choice.
I think, histor, perhaps you are confusing two things - the fictional aspect of OGF and the collaborative one. But to give a background – if anyone’s interested - I’ll just explain why I think this may be, and perhaps why Tara has been taken out of community ownership. I didn’t really want to write it while I was exploring it, so maybe that is why it seems that it has not been collaborative. Basically, in Tara I have explored a ‘what if’ scenario. This scenario was: what if instead of being colonized, some islands – Udenarrat - had resisted, repelled the colonists and later in the 16th century the islanders themselves set off around the world. They set up a small settlement in a fortress village, repelled further attempts at colonisation and in the 20th century made contact again with their ‘mother island’. In the 20th century, threats on the mother island were even greater than in previous years, so they contributed to an effort to protect that country, through an’ isolationist’ policy. You could say it is far-fetched and we could have a long argument about India’s policy in the Andaman islands, the protection of native tribes in the Amazon etc. But really it has no impact on ‘collaboration’ in OGF – except that under this imaginary scenario there would be characters who didn’t want to communicate with other characters – as in the real world. So because Tara was a blue territory, free to edit with no request to contact anyone, and the nearest blue territory to Udenarrat (and it was also the place where I built my first village before I had a territory, so I used that) I made this small settlement there – an ancient walled village, an airport and a present day aluminium smelter. I moved them slightly offshore to islands abour 2km square because I thought it totally unbelievable (rather than slightly unbelievable) that they could be in a developed country (originally they had a big wall between them and the rest of Tara!) and I don’t want to impinge on other mappers. That was a few months ago. I also contacted amin to ask whether I should move these mapped islands a few hundred kilometres further offshore – they replied to say they would leave that up to me - and I hadn’t got round to doing that yet because there seemed no need.
So, read into that what you will. I don’t think it is worth going over any more than to say it seems to me pretty uncollaborative and uncommunicative to remove a community owned territory without even discussing it with the community. I know there are other users who will have edited here, so I am very sorry if anyone else has been affected, What I’d like to do is open Ionadàlba to be a community (blue) territory instead, the only provisos being that it be mapped in Scots and Gaelic - if that were possible. The best to you all Udi.
The fixed theory of Tara was, that this land was a part of the colony of New Holland, but among the most “dutch” settlers a cluster of more celtic /irish orign. So here was some agressive difference through the centuries - and too, as New Holland and the colony Latina joined to the republic of Latina 1824. Tara ever was the poor northeast edge of the Land. And then 200x it became independent unter president O’Higgins. That all I had written in the wikis about Latina.
Too in the time, as Tara was a part of Latina, user Tamarinda wrote in collaboratin with me about Frontizero at the northcoast of Tara and mapped town and temple. So there was the indigen aspect of this area of Tarephia more clear.
I am always for communication and team-work. So as Tara was blue there was the note, to collaborate with me.
I thought that the contact someone policy only officially applied to purple territories (collaborative with owner/manager), since the blue ones were technically meant to be community (no owner and no manager unless it’s more admin controlled)
If this has changed, that’s fine, but we should probably make it clearer to all users before the change is acted upon.

Not trying to dispute either side here, but-
