Just wondering with all the water flowing into Lake Hetzer (western Uletha) nowadays, where is it all going? I gather there was a plan to create a gulf in eastern Vinnmark. Else, we’d have to reverse one of the rivers flowing into it. Throwing it into the group of territories fronting this beautiful lake.

There has been a proposal to extend the gulf, but it hasn’t yet been definitely agreed by all concerned - including admins. This was the proposal by joschi81:
If everyone agrees, I’d be happy to have a go at mapping it. I would really like this to be resolved one way or the other because it has an effect on Tircambry, which I am busy re-structuring at the moment.

I agree with the proposal if the Hetzer lake is part of the gulf or connected with it by a canal :)

I agree with Friedrich, current Hetzer needs to stay. The gulf would exist not only to connect Welstand-Westrijk to the rest of the world but to connect the whole region.

Think that leaves Severak (who runs Koban) to agree, if he hasn’t already, regarding Hetzer. The larger plan affects more users, obviously. Will await developments.

Well, pending agreement I’ve uploaded - relatively low res - ways representing that coastline as relation 61058. Simple to delete or to remove the relation and join the ways into the coastline.

I wouldn’t worry about what i put in the name field of that temporary relation. The relation will be deleted once the coastline is agreed. Folk can then agree on whatever name they want (hence “proposed gulf/sound/fjord/firth” in my commit message).

Ok, so that should be it basically in. The various boundary relations were in a bit of a mess to start with - incomplete, unordered, duplicate or even weirder situations. So they should be good now, and expanded.
Obviously give it a bit of time for the coastline renderer to catch up.

Did the admins give the final go-ahead for this? Last I saw, Thilo would personally look favourably on this change, but the admins had not given their collective approval.
Assuming it is approved, I’m OK with taking a bit more land and coastline in this area for Tircambry, if Joschi81 is still agreeable.
