Hi, friends!

I am detailing the city of Paranabi, the only city in Cariocas with a tramways system. As the country is not so much rich, there is only one line operating.

But I would like to create a second and third planed lines. Lines and stations only under construction, and I dont know the correct tag to use.

I know I can use “highway=construction”/ “construction=motorway”, as example, but, about railways, the tag “construction=” does not works. I am considering use “railway=preserved” only to turn it visible on the map, hehehe. Can someone help me??

Really, “railway=construction” only appears in zoom=15 or higher… would be a way to appear in lower zooms???

Maybe ask histor to do this for his style? Personally, I think that things under construction don’t need to appear in smaller zoom levels and it’s ok like they did for the Mapnik style.

Very nice city, by the way.

well, I agree with you, Joschi… railways under construction dont need to appear…

I was asking about it because it works with highways, but no problem if it doesnt works with railways.

For planes metro-lines I set “railway=construction” and “construction=subway”. Possible too is to set “tunnel=yes” and “layer=-1”. This items are to see at zoom-level 13 in standard or histor-style (see in Cordoba in Latina for line # 10).

If you set “railway=construction” and “construction=tram”, this line is visible at zoomlevel 13 also.

Maybe if the construction-line is too near at a street, the street may overlay the line in zoom-level 13 at the map?
