OpenGeofiction
I recently wondered if there’s a possibility of getting all nodes and ways of an area or tile via entering a specific url like “www.opengeofiction.net/api/0.6/gettiles/{zoom}/{x}/{y}” The resulting data output format should be xml, e.g. Way 24084 (www.opengeofiction.net/api/0.6/way/24084)
I have no knowledge of servers and all the stuff around it, so maybe someone can help me?

Sure, using the API; see: osm.wiki/API_v0.6
Another approach is to take the nightly backup and use osmconvert to cut it down to a smaller area, constrained by a lat:lon bounding box.

I’m not sure what exactly you’re asking.
In JOSM, it’s quite easy to download from a URL. Here’s a very brief documentation with screenshot.

The problem is, that I am programming with Java from scratch, so without JOSM or other software. So, the easiest possibility is to download the required data via internet, but I haven’t found a possibility yet which works. Thank you for your tips. -Bstn

Hm… an api invocation like:
opengeofiction.net/api/0.6/map?bbox=left,bottom,right,top
gives you a .osm file. Could that work for you?
