This appears to be the result of the work of an incompetent (probably) and discourteous (definitely) mapper.
I have reverted the changesets that caused this problem and sent a message to the mapper in question.
Everyone: if you make a mistake, that’s forgivable. But if you don’t know how to fix it, common courtesy requires that you contact another mapper or a member of the admin team to ask for help. Just leaving it like poop on the sidewalk is pretty rude.
