Following up on Adam’s discussion below about Flyht Myrcia, I’ve created an code-sharing airline alliance, Geolliance. The wiki page is pretty thin, but there’s space to add airlines and hubs there (no table yet, but that can be added once airlines join). And I’d love to have at least one or two other airlines to join Air Wiwaxia as founders as well. The alliance particularly needs airlines that fly more outside Eastern Uletha, i.e. Archanta, Tarephia and Antarephia, as well as Western Uletha.
As discussed earlier, there might be other alliances created with Air Ataraxie as a founder of one and KojAir as founder of another, so if you already have code-sharing deals with either of them you probably don’t want to be part of this alliance.

Glaster does not have any mapped airports or a detailed wiki page for its airline, but I’ll put Glastian Airways down as a member for now. Glaster’s flights probably have a range exclusive to Uletha. Glastian air travel is a relatively modest sector.

Do you know if there’s a major Archantan airline that would be willing to create such an alliance? FreedemiAir sorta already serves southeast Uletha pretty well through its Gobras City and Khaiwoon hubs but has struggled to enter the Archantan market other than in some areas like the Ardisphere due to the distance.

I mean, FreedemiAir serves Western Uletha and Tarephia pretty steadily but I don’t know if it would be in our best interest to join the alliance if we already fly our own flights to that region. :P

I don’t have a wiki presence for it yet, but I’ve been sketching out routings recently. The top end of our fleet is limited to 11000km range, so direct flights to Uletha (from Sadiemarkt) would connect along the southern region, i.e. Khaiwoon, Gobras City, or Wiwaximouthe.

I like this idea and I’m really interested in seeing some competition among several alliances. DeltAir, the main Neo Deltan airline, is in talks to create an alliance with Guai Airways. This is the current map of destinations for DeltAir:

@Ernestpcosby - you have your answer there from @Deltanz, who has great coverage of Archanta. Although I have to say I’d love to Deltair as part of Geolliance… there isn’t that much overlap in fact with Air Wiwaxia, Diogo!!! :-)
@Yuanls I think if you fly mostly in Western Uletha, it still makes sense. And I may adjust Air Wiwaxia a bit to reflect its location in Eastern Uletha, with fewer flights outside the region.

I think Flyht Myrcia would be a good companion to DeltAir, if you look at our maps there’s not much overlap but we both link up at hubs in southern Uletha.

@Demuth DeltAir can join Geolliance, I just need to talk to Aiki, to see if Guai Airways is willing to join it as well. This way the alliance would be able to better serve the southern hemisphere. If that is the case, I suggest FreedemiAir and AeroIndigo join forces to compete.
@wangi if you’re refering to Taiago, yes, it is a pretty small island, but most flights leaving it are stopovers of Malojdeh flights, so there is not much need for lond haul flights.
@Myrcia sure! Flyht Myrcia looks like a perfect match! Are you interested in joining some of the alliances?

Since Glaster is in East Uletha, I guess flights would be local to places in north or central Uletha. Maybe a few down to Mergany, but that’s it.

FreedemiAir does serve the Tarephia-Antarephia area surprisingly well- better than even I myself realized- and seems to cover southeastern and northwestern Uletha. At second look, it actually seems like I need a partner that covers the area between NW Uletha, SE Uletha, and Archanta now that I look at it- more the eastern side, not so much the southern as it appears that such a partner would likely connect in Villa Constitucion or Gunthrum/Phoenix as well, closing the loop.

@Leowzy, considering all the shared locations but almost no overlapping routes, I think FreedemiAir would make a great matchup with OneSky. :) KojAir would provide the missing regional link in SE Uletha perfectly, while FreedemiAir would create great connections to Tarephia!
We’d still need another couple airlines to truly compete with GeoAlliance, though. Probably one from Archanta and one that could bridge the gap between NW and SE Uletha.

@Reece202 I can’t speak for anyone else but it does seem like maybe AeroIndigo would make a good partner for FreedemiAir and KojAir as part of OneSky although @Leowezy would be the one to ask. I’d be happy to work with you if that ends up working for everyone

I’m welcoming any airline into the alliance that wishes to join; again, the only thing to do is to check what alliance would offer the best match of complementing but not competing routes. If some alliances end up bigger than others that’s no problem I think, in the end it’s just a small detailed step towards further realism in a business sense. But in terms of route making it would still be perfectly fine to have several alliances competing on the same routes. Perhaps on these competed routes there would be a few flights more than “needed”, but that’s just how it works in real life as well.

WorldStar is another global alliance with Air Ataraxie as a founding member.
Air Ataraxie has long-haul service to 5-10 destinations per continent (Archanta, Tarephia, Antarephia, NW Uletha) and most major cities in nearby countries in SE Uletha (map forthcoming). We welcome airlines from all over OGF.

Here is the rough route map for AeroIndigo.
Blue routes are regionals (narrow body planes), purple routes are long hauls (widebody planes). There will probably be more regional routes decided later.
I’m open to forming an alliance with anyone else willing.

OneSky, WorldStar and Geolliance, woot! I guess I need to get going on making my own route map for Air Wiwaxia, a task for the weekend when I get the time.

And, it looks like this is playing out nicely. @Dono87 I wonder if Paxair could be a Tarephian partner for WorldStar? For Archanta, there’s less choice it seems but Ardisphere has an airlines not yet with a wiki article, and there’s also Archanta Southern Airlines and Latzyl, which is a Latina-Zylanda airline, although there’s not much info in the wiki.
There’s a fairly comprehensive list of airlines is here (at least it seems to be, although it lacks a few mentioned here. And @Leowezy I think it has an older version of KojAir?)

I don’t think I’m ready yet for a KojAir flight map, I first would like to focus on the domestic and regional flight schedules before thinking about what international relations would be served (also to take into account possible connections for Kojolese passengers through neighbouring countries.

Testing a map of long-haul flights by Air Ataraxie. Excludes short-haul and domestic. Seems similar in breadth to current KLM or Air France networks from respective hubs.

@dono87 I think that map looks exactly how I’d imagine a hub in OGF would. It has flights to all corners of the world. It does seem like you’ve missed off the route to Myrcia though!

I’m jumping in a little late, but I’d love for my major airline in Mauretia to join. First, however, I need to add some destinations. Are there specific places that are open for business to where Peyan can fly or should I just go ahead and create a proposed list? The market is not incredibly large, but I believe that some regional service to neighboring countries and areas otherwise under-served in eastern Uletha.

Hey Alessa! I think the courtesy way to do it is to ask people or else to create a page where people ask themselves to join or are free to write themselves in.
But personally, I took the less courteous route, mostly just added in countries that made sense, both from a geographic perspective and from a size/importance aspect (that’s been based probably more on how much people actually post in the wiki more than what’s mapped - and people who post more rather than people who’ve said once that their countries are huge and important. Plus countries that I’ve had some kind of dialog with their authors or who have requested to have a flight.)
And I think there’s lots of countries that aren’t covered by other airlines in Northeastern Uletha – Reeland, Neberly, Pieskia, Hyildien, Latania, Raiden plus I’d definitely like you to fly to Harboda Airport outside Mynninghamn and Østermark’s main airport, there aren’t many airlines that do so far ;-) That would definitely help fill out the Geolliance routes!

Hi, everyone. I found the wiki page (World Air Freedoms) wherein people listed what their countries allow. It’s a great a starting point. So, I started working on where Peyan would fly. (Wiki page here: http://wiki.opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Linreqiyan_Peyan .)
I’ve added Raiden stops in addition given my discussions with Kaepler. I’ll confirm that these are okay just in case. I drafted a map of possible flights. My goal was to connect some previously unconnected cities and provide service where I have permissions. If it helps with GeoAlliance or with WorldStar, I’d love to join either one seems the best fit. I’m curious what people think. It’s a larger number of cities than many airlines, I know, but Peyan has virtually no domestic presence. For the record, I capped it at 32 international cities. Most of these routes would only have one flight per day, but ones to Raiden, Orinoco, Belphenia, and Mergany could be twice or thrice daily. Given what I’ve read about Ataraxia, I suspect the Mauroi people would find some kinship there, too.
