so i finally found a name for my territory: Sovania.
anyway, i haven’t done much. i have started by making terrain. my plan is to make the South have more Rainforests and make the North have more Towns. all i did was rename it, and add the Lakeside rainforest. That’s All For Now, Folks!

In this case, its not deforestation, its just an OSM mapper tagging a “national forest” multipolygon with landuse=forest (OSM is a pretty low benchmark). The real landuse is clear on the AP. How to map it using OSM tags is less so.

It’s true that the “natural=x” tagging as drawn on OSM rarely reflect much accurate detail “on the ground” in reality, but many landowners do, in fact, follow their boundaries as they clear land. Thus, just a little bit northwest of your AP, you see:

It often also depends on how intensely an area is used, as well as the terrain - compare osm.org/#map=15/52.3232/13.0529, which is mostly flat, with osm.org/#map=15/47.3334/8.9620.
