Hey everyone! As one of the newest members (if not the newest). I would like to say hello! In these past 3 days I have built a new city near the Blue Laden Tidal Power Plant. If anyone could help me continue designing it and/or give me future tips and tricks, that would be great!

You’re off to a decent start. The next phase would be detailling by putting individul buildings in your blocks. There are a couple of examples on ‘your’ island which might be good to study because they are not insanely large in size and quite identical in atmosphere, like Lukkberg on the extreme west (left) point and Moimonda (opposite Redbeards Harbour). And my personal favourite in the region: the small island of Bandini (5 km south of the eastermost (right) tip of the island): only 4 square km. and exquisitely detailed.

On an individual note: your proportions look generally o.k. but that triangular church… I have my doubts (though it is not totally improbable) as it is 200 metres long and only 40 metres or so wide maximum.
Lastly: i saw you use ID. May I just advise you to give Potlatch a try ? I personally like it better. Another alternative is JOSM, but that requires Java and some set-up, and is not necessary for the level of work you do now.

You might want to do some research into tidal power plants and how they work to detail the one here. In general most are barrages across river estuaries, and rely on the sea current being amplified when forced into a narrow channel. There is a proposed technology called DTP which involves very long pier dams extending offshore from the coast, but no examples have so far been built and there are multiple restrictions to this idea. Another possibility here is a tidal lagoon. So you will need to draw a wide river or some kind of inland water body to make this possible - both of which are unlikely on a rocky mid-oceanic island. However, geothermal power could be a realistic alternative given the geography of the islands. it basically involves using underground hot springs to create steam which drives turbines.
