I went ahead and fixed points a) and b). Hopefully I’ll be able to post an updated picture soon.
a) was pretty simple. I just reworked the place where the silver line branches off so that I’d have enough room to make the line straight without losing accuracy.
b) was a bit harder to do since some of the stations were close to pretty tight angles, but I found a way to fix them even if it meant the two 45° parts were pretty small. it did make it look a lot nicer, so thanks!
I don’t think I’m going to change c) unless it looks like a major issue at the map’s completion, just because, despite the diagrammatic nature of the map, that little turn is actually a pretty important part of the routing through the area, unlike some other turns that I didn’t include.
(Essentially that bump is where the train turns as to not enter the Capitol Mall (which would have sent it precariously close to the presidential mansion, which in the “canon” of QUARTA history was decided against during original construction for security reasons.)

3 little things:
a) the short bow of the red line near the crossing with purple and green can be straight
b) at the sharp 90° edges you can make two 45° edges nearby
c) the light green line near the light blue line can be straight.
