The IFWC has ended. Congratulations to Mariana and Castellán for getting 1st and 2nd respectively.
Most of these were ranked randomly, starting with randomized teaming, then randomly playing against each other. However, teams that had demonstrated a large amount of interest were a bit more likely to progress. I deliberately had Freedemia lose round two so others could progress.
Basically the championship would have been very close, and instead of the normal games where someone won by reaching 10, since you have to win by 2 the score would have been 17 to 15 because it was such a close game.

Foosball is the third most watched sport after Football/Soccer and Basketball in Lallemand, so they were ecstatic to make it to the quarterfinals and watching parties were scheduled all over the island. Although Hoppon did well traditional sports, trumps all international events but their is a niche crowd of about 1 million foosball fans mostlyin and around Rory who watched the matches (Mostly Hoppon) until the semi’s when Hoppon lost. Lallemanyans watched all matches as previously stated it is the third largest sport.

Mariana is very happy that the national team has won the tournament! It’s very special, because this was our first participation ever. All matches of Mariana and the quarter- and semi-finals were broadcasted in our country. With an average of 200,000 watchers per match, more than 9,000 Marianan people who went to Freedemia to watch a game live and of course the first place for the Marianan this was a very successful tournament for Mariana.
