Hey all!

As I was starting to map out some streets in the city of Ochent, I wondered: What are going to be the street name types? I am posting this diary on behalf of the Ohesia Collaborative Project, and want to have a discussion amongst other mappers in the area. I was hoping for us to discuss terms that would fully define the name of primary, secondary, tertiary, and residential roads, such as “Name Street”,”Name Avenue”,”Name Drive”, etc. What are the Ohesian Translations for these terms going to be? Here are some ideas that I have:

• Street – Stroće /ʃtrōʃə/
• Avenue – undecided at the moment
• Motorway/Highway – Otoban /œtō’bɒn/

Those are ideas that I’ve proposed. Of course, you may change these, as you are free to. What ideas do you have to identify types of roads. I would also like to know: Does Ohesian follow the rules of most adjectives coming after the noun? This knowledge would be helpful to the mapping process. Anyways, that is all I am going to say for now.

Hi Everyone,

I am going to be going on hiatus because of this reason: school. My school is dumping lots of work on me, so I really don’t have any free time. This means I am going to be gone until next year, so If I get ejected from my country, that will be why. If I do, I have had a lot of fun working on the Nahele Republic, and I will miss it dearly. Hello everyone!

Currently, I am using a Chromebook, so I am primarily relying on the iD editor, which we all know does not have as many cool features as JOSM. But now, I am saving up for a PC that runs Windows 10. That means I am going to finally be able to use JOSM!

So, this is where I need your help: What tools should I add to begin using JOSM fully? I heard that the Building Tool is very essential and have seen it from a few tutorials to begin JOSM, but those tools only showed me how to setup JOSM, and also add buildings. So, what tools do you guys use to easily edit in JOSM. I am excited to start using it!

Hey everyone!

What is the reason for changsets no loading? I’ve heard this from other diary entries and I was wondering if a program that renders the changset onto the OGF map is not working properly or is slow. Is that the reason? I’m just curious.

I have made several attempts to fix the same area as I posted in my last Diary, and nothing happened. I have never fully grasped the concept of multipolygon relations ( considering I primarily use iD). But what I want to know is the relation between inner/outer, and clockwise/counterclockwise. This might fix the problem, but it may take more time to figure this out. Could I please get some basic knowledge on multipolygons to make things look more realistic? (I also use Potlatch 2 as well)

I was editing in Potlatch 2 and was making a mountain sketch, I want the little forest icons to only appear in the forest. What do I do?
