OpenGeofiction
Recently I have been playing around with JOSM to get the hang of editing OpenGeofiction. Most of it seems to be going well, but I have a small issue with two flooded islands.
I built two small islands here: http://opengeofiction.net/#map=17/2.61609/157.35096
A few days ago they showed on the map, but now they are gone. Most likely I did something to flood them, but I can’t figure out what exactly. I’ve searched for some troobleshooting online, but can’t find a reason.
I’m still learning, so maybe (hopefully) there’s a simple solution. Anyone any idea?

Hello Jaap,
Looked at your island, and it looks like you planted a Managed Forest in the middle of the sea - without a formal island designation. Think you need to tag the forest as an island as well, that might sort it. Failing that, maybe somebody else can help.

Thanks for having a look. I tagged that specific island with “place=islet”, the other one is tagged “place=island”. I thought that should do it..(?).
Both islands are tagged as “inner” within the larger multipolygon that is the whole lake, which is surrounding them. Maybe it has to do with the polygon?

I’ve had problems myself with islands in lakes, Jaap - I’m afraid that is where my own inexperience shows. Maybe someone else can help?

I fixed yours ADB52!
Had a quick look with JOSM - data looks fine i think. The poly for the lake shouldn’t include the rivers coming off it however…

Did you only separate the rivers from the lake, or also something else? (Then I won’t do it wrong the next time.)

I also fixed the large overlapping forest.
