Hello, I am owner a territory called Xochimalta (https://opengeofiction.net/edit#map=11/-0.5994/55.5989), but I really have any questions about the possible history of the country, I would like to know what suggestions or what articles they talk about it. Xochimalta is a country with Mediterranean influences, Castellanese language, the most widespread religion is Christianity (more specific Catholicism), tropical climate (I know that in the real world a country like this on the equator is not real :( ), the territory is on Free Island (West Uletha). I have planned a time with monarchies, others with foreign invasions and the creation of a republic. I’m just not sure who the ancestors of that place are, and if the colonial era is a good idea? If a friend of OFG wants to make a suggestion about my mapping or Xochimaltan History , your opinion is welcome!

Well, if your country speaks Castellanese it was colonized by Castellan, who would have also brought with them the Catholic (Ortholic in ogf) religion.
I don’t know much about the history of the Peninsula as a whole, sadly, but my understanding is that there were native inhabitants and civilizations prior to widespread colonization by the Mediterranean countries like Castellan, Plevia, and Franqueterre. The indigenous civilization in Balam-Utz is inspired by the Mayans, so perhaps you could incorporate Mesoamerican culture (Olmec, Aztec, etc) into your indigenous peoples.
I’d say that your plan sounds good, and since there isn’t much history for the region you get to make a lot of your own!

Xochimalta is looking nice, I used to map yeard ago a country in that area but not anymore. A lot of the history ideas that you have make sense. If you are interested also we can try and do collaboration or international relations between Xochimalta and my country Barzona, which is in Tarephia but influenced a lot by Central America (El Salvador and others) and Ecuador. Maybe you can get other ideas for your country, or even I can get some from you.

Hello. Im Anakes, owner of Balam-Utz teritory, inspired on Mayans lands in Yucatan peninsula.
Basically, my country takes a lot of Central American and Yucatecan history, but creating a culture of syncretism.
For my “base story” in that the Liberan Island or sectors of the island was populated with people from Ulteha with maritime cultural exchange from the Aspheric Ocean, being an island allowed it to have inhabitants of an Amerindian culture, but because it is little populated there are sectors that other ethnic groups non-Amerindians were able to live and develop
