I’m now developping the towns of Rotshoek and Hogerwater in my country Durië.

Rotshoek is a beach town at the start of a cliff coast. It will be developped chronologically. It is now in the 1960s.

Hogerwater is a former industrial town and now part of the city of Oten-Kravedal. The railway line has gone from ground level to a tunnel, a former industrial area is now a modern city center and the motorway is now going around the town.

I’m new here and I like this website very much. In other geofiction projects my problem always was that I didn’t have the right software to map my country. So this was what I was looking for. I just started building a small Dutch region in Commonia to test my skills (location).

I have a question about this project: I assume this project takes place on a different planet that is similar to Earth in 2014. But does this also mean that the planet have the same characteristics as Earth? So are countries near the equator tropically hot and countries near the poles arctic cold? Do adjacent countries have a common history? In short: Does the location of your territory determine how your territory should look like?
