Hello all.
One thing I’ve noticed in the past is that our road system is kind of flawed and just messed up. I really don’t want to write a lengthy paragraph about this, but here’s what’s gonna go down.
Prior, the type of road depended on how long the road was. Now, the road type depends on use and priority.
Instead of primary routes and secondary routes, we will have federal routes and district routes.
- Note: PRs do not necessarily turn into FRs, and SRs do not necessarily into DRs.
P.S. I’m a little frustrated with how the state and country tags no longer show up. What the hell is going on with this?

RE your state and country tags not showing up, there was a long discussion about a month ago: http://opengeofiction.net/user/BelpheniaProject/diary/170. To summarize, there are two solutions: 1) make OSM relations for your states and country (I recommend this, but it’s a lot of work); 2) use the “histor” layer to view your area (right margin of map window) - it still uses the nodes, which show up fine when I view Drevet using that layer.
