After having watched the most recent video from Wendover Productions, I feel that this video will probably be useful for those wanting to space your towns and cities properly, if not locate them, especially if your country was made before cars even existed.
I would try and explain it, but I do not think I can deliver that video justice, since he is able to explain it in much better words than I can.

Yeah Wendover is really informative. Although I don’t agree with him that Bangladesh is the perfect place for human civilization but his videos are really nice!

What do you think is the perfect place? I personally think the perfect place is either the river mouth near Guangzhou or Shanghai China.

Personally, I’d say the perfect place would be Jasper, Alberta.
But on a more serious note, I suppose it can be Hong Kong or Shanghai.

This is very interesting, especially because the rural sections of my country are almost completely based on the Cumberland valley and other similar sections of Pennsylvania. Thanks for posting!
