My island keeps disappearing, it still has a coastline, however the land just blends into the sea.

I did a very fast check (using P2) and wonder: is the direction of your coastline correct ? It should be counterclockwise. You might have a try with reversing the direction.
Otherwise, it looks like being part of some multipoligons. Try simplifying these.

I have taken the liberty of reversing the direction of the coastline on Hamilton Island. Coastlines should always run counterclockwise. Could you also review your placenames? It’s up to you, but Littlehampton, Wolverhampton and Eastbourne sound awfully like real English towns.

They all ARE real English towns. Wolverhampton is in Birmingham and Eastbourne is on the South Coast.
