How close should my Military bases be to Urban areas?

I dont see the military area in the link, but, in my opinion, there is not a “close or far” palce to military areas.
Example in my countries is Goytakanya, a country living so much political tension, almost a war, due to Indepencence from Suvuma. This way, we can see that military areas in Goytakanya could not be only to fill space, hehehe
So, I build two main military areas close to a town and Grakteh, the second major city of the country. Of course, Goytakanya is a small island country, any military area would be close to some residencial area, but I created also two military areas inside capital metropolitan area, I think, only 2 or 3 km to the King`s Palace. You can see Arsenal Goytakano is between two well populated towns and the only International Airport.
But, as I said, this my country is a small one, and lives a type of “pre-War” time…
