It’s a good start Mike! The proportions are a bit off with your terminals and maybe some of the distances as well, though, I think they are a bit big. Also, it’s good to keep in mind that O’Hare is one of the world’s biggest airports, probably not the best model to use since there are few airports of that size, and it’s probably not in proportion either to your population or likely air traffic. Seven runways are too many, I think three is more reasonable, five at most.

One smaller (international and) national airport in Kalm: Forberg-Golbrünn International Airport

Your airport looks good in general, but it is a bit too large. You should downscale it so that the main runway’s length is 3800m maximum. Your eastern diagonal runway isn’t possible like that because the end of the runway is too close to terminals and aprons. And you should move your terminals a bit closer to each other, even after downscaling the whole airport (as mentioned above) in JOSM.

There is a page on the wiki called ‘making realistic airports’ which contains advice on the design and placement of airports.
