Firstly I gave Flyht Myrcia (Myrcia’s major airline) a brand refresh last night and designed a nice boarding pass (aided by the fictional OGF universe where airlines aren’t stuck with 20 year old printers!). So please take a look and let me know what you think.
If your country is in Uletha or Tarephia then I’d like to establish an air route from Dunwic Flyhthæfen International. Just reply to this post or send me a message. Also happy for reciprocal flights or codeshare agreements to be established with your airlines.
I know this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I am really interested in urban design and national branding so I have set up some Pinterest boards where I’m collecting images that I feel are typical of life in Myrcia and of the city of Dunwic.
I love the freedom that OGF gives me to bring together my favourite parts of European countries and try to develop a modern country known for its design culture, high quality urban design and exemplary modern architecture. Let me know what you think.

As for airlines connections, although Kojo technically is part of Uletha, I think the distance is quite to big to consider a direct flight connection, especially as Myrcia is home to only around 1 million people. There should be plenty of good transfer airports in northern Uletha I think from which passengers travelling between our two countries can change flight without taking a long detour.
On a different note, what do you guys think about adding an additional category on our airport page? I think it would be really helpful to designate let’s say 10 airports (not necessarily the very largest by passenger count) as “major Intercontinental hubs”. I’m thinking real world equivalents like London, Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Atlanta, Losa Angeles, Dubai, Bankog, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, but I think there’s quite a gap between the upper dozen of major Intercontinental hubs, and the generic “A” classification in the list that can be applied to every airport offering even just one intercontinental connection. That way, countries like Myrcia could decide more easily on what very distant airports could be realistically expected to have a direct connection, as passengers can reach all destinations on a given continent from there quite easily.

@Leowezy - I think this is a very interesting idea. Flyht Myrcia flies several times daily to Tarott-Kemburg , Gobras City World Port and Latina (Cidudad) which I think are major hubs for the rest of the world.

Hi Adam! Your airport wiki article looks and sounds great, especially the boarding pass.
I haven’t developed any airline details for Kalm yet, but I think either Flyht Myrcia should connect to several large airports in Kalm. Besides Tarott-Kemburg I would propose
Orlent (not yet mapped in detail)
Pern (airport not yet mapped in detail)
Nerschach (airport not yet mapped at all)
Herlenz (airport not yet mapped at all)
If you think that’s too much, I will establish the connections for my main Kalmish airline operator (I didn’t find a ggod name yet, as I don’t want Air Kalm, Kalmish Airways or anything like that…).

@joschi81 thanks for the list, I’ve added them to the wiki pages, I think it’s realistic that there should be good regional links between Myrcia and Kalm.
When you have your airline up and running then let me know as I’d love to host flights.

I think I would like to add Air Ataraxie flights from Ataraxia International to Dunwic - but could be Flyht Myrcia, up to you.
I estimate a 7,275 km / 8h50 flight from Ataraxia City, so reasonable and shorter than your current longest flight to Latina.
RE: Leowezy - Would be good to have some superregional hubs. I would like to nominate Ataraxia City, but happy to discuss. I think Ataraxia City is within a 14-hr flight of most of the mapped world, and most of the new continents as well (Orano, Ereva, Pelanesia).
RE: Gobras City vs. Khaiwoon - which one would be the major hub for this region? At first, I thought Khaiwoon was the Singapore equivalent (making Gobras City the equivalent to Kuala Lumpur).

I think having Ataraxia City would make sense as a hub for flights between the eastern Ulethan (like Kojo, Belphenia, Pasundan-Padjadiaran etc.) and western and northern Ulethan nations. I’d still like Pyingshum Intl. Airport to offer several direct connections to other Ulethan hubs, but speaking for Kojo I could imagine passengers heading towards second tier cities in aforementioned destinations would just fly via Ataraxie-Ville.
I’ve always thought of Khaiwoon being the major international hub for connections between Tharephia and eastern Uletha; maybe the contributors to Gobras and Khaiwoon can comment on this? Technically this position could also be filled with Ataraxie-Ville, but I think for such long-distance flights to Tarephia Khawoon would be a preferable intermediate.

In addition to identifying the biggest hubs, I think we should also have airline alliances as in the real world (though not sure if this is too advanced given the number of active users).
So that if there are 3 global alliances of flag carriers, Air Ataraxie, Air Wiwaxia and KojAir all belong to separate alliances. Therefore, there will still be a reason to have some long-haul international and intercontinental flights from all 3 capitals, just in different proportions. Some from Kippa connect through Ataraxia City and some from Fenelec connect through Pyingshum.

I’d say you’d have both KL and GC as major hubs - it’s a perfect locale for it and both have the local high population to support. The distance between the two is negligible, so it’s really down to clout, international relations and economics.

Khaiwoon and Gobras City are both worth flying to, and would probably be rivals for hub status. Gobras City may end up being the more populous of the two (depending on the density of its neighborhoods), but Khaiwoon is definitely a Singapore/Hong Kong equivalent in terms of economics, with a very pro-business and trade-focused government, plus a much bigger port than Gobras City and lots more shipping. It may also be a bigger tourist destination, which would add to its appeal as an airline hub. So… I imagine there would be airlines that favor Gobras City and airlines that favor Khaiwoon.

I also like the idea of major world hubs as well as airline alliances.
As I see it, it makes sense to use three factors in deciding on the hubs: they should be in major, well-developed cities with good infrastructure including decent airports of course; be in geographic/high-population locations that make sense for them to be hubs; and I think they should also have wiki articles that write about this - and perhaps even a flagship airline.
Maybe we could set up a talk page about it with places to nominate with the criteria we decide should be met? Countries that seem like obvious choices due to their prominence in their geographical location include Pretany, Latina, Freedemia, Ardisphere, Khaiwoon/Gobras City, Ataraxie… I’m definitely not the person to decide, I’m not very good at keeping up on all the developments in mapping outside of the countries in my region of Eastern Uletha.
Or am I making this too complicated?
The alliances are maybe simpler to sort out: the various airlines probably just need to talk with one another about this somehow, keeping in mind as Dono87 said, it makes sense for countries that are close to one another to not be in the same alliance - so we could start with the three airlines mentioned as the base?

@dono87 Thanks, I have added flights for Flyht Myrcia and Air Ataraxie to Ataraxia.
This is my new Flyht Myrcia routemap which I think looks pretty realistic with lots of short and medium haul flights and longer haul flights to international hubs.
