I would like to add images from Wikimedia Commons like this:

Slippy Map MediaWiki Extension:
I would like to use slippy maps in the wiki. (including the different OGF layers) See osm.wiki/Slippy_Map_MediaWiki_Extension for information about the extension.
Is there someone who can add this features to the wiki? - That would be great! Thanks.

I really like the Open Geo Fiction Wiki page but I haven’t the slightest idea on how to add to it. There’s some amazing stuff on there so far.

Slippy maps would be nice. It would also be great if the slippy maps could have a highlight feature like osm.wiki/WIWOSM that could highlight shapes or points.
@Easky, do you have any specific questions? The OGF wiki basically the same as Wikipedia, and they have tutorials that might help with that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial

Using files form Wikimedia Commons is now enabled. Please check if it works.
I also installed the slippymap extension, but it doesn’t seem to work. Don’t know yet why.

Installed the “MultiMaps” extension, which does work.

The Usage of files from Wimedia Commons works.
The MultiMaps-Extension is nice. I added the Wiki/Slippy maps-page for documentation.
Is it possible to add an option to switch the differenet OGF-layers?

Yeah, the land area can be calculated in JOSM but all the other statistics are estimations.
I just did a quick area measurement of Orinoco for you = 750,208 km2
The mainland is 719,237 and the islands to the north are 30,971. These numbers aren’t absolutely exact (I don’t know how to do that without tracing the entire boundary line point by point) but they’re within 1% or so.
