Motor Racing Circuits in Maperitive?

Posted by Punkmonkey22 on 15 September 2020 in English (English)

Hi, Thought I'd have a look at messing around in Maperitive so that when I have filled up more of my region I could make some nice looking location maps as I've seen others do... however it doesn't seem to render Highway=Raceway?? Considering that this is the standard tagging method for race circuits in OSM this seems strange to me, does anyone have any ideas how to add it to the rendering? Or examples of scripts anybody has made that render it?

Could you link the location so we can have a look pls? The race track should show up as a pinkish-red thick line about the size of a tertiary road (?) so you can't really miss it. It may have been swallowed up by the other edits as they might paste over it so be careful with that.

If you don't know how to link the location btw, go onto where you want to show and look at the two long numbers in the search bar - those are your co-ords :)

@KTheBritMC it looks fine on OGF, exactly as you described, I just can't get it to display in Maperitive. It's just the basic track layout atm, but once I've detailed around it I'd like to export it and make a promo map for the circuit.

I've never heard of Maperitive so I don't know what it's about, but I can see it on the OGF website so it has loaded

The default Maperitive rendering rules don't include Highway=Raceway, but I've altered mine to include it. I'll try and put details and instructions on my Wiki sandbox, probably at the weekend.
