I just added a ton of counties yesterday, but only the original 3’s names show up (Riverbend, Varode Lake, Tchullathinak Counties). I have compared the relations and everything seems the same… is something off with the renderer, or am I doing something wrong?

Everything looks good regarding the relation window. JOSM is saying the relations are closed, which is also good. It’s probably a delay in the renderer. Subtle changes like that often take longer than wholesale or large updates. Let’s give it a bit of time and see what happens. You might also want to check it out using the Histor-style layer, since that has counties on zoom 9 and 10, which don’t appear on the traditional OSM layer.

Ive been using histor style, and the changesets have rendered, since the lines are present. I wonder if something happened with my tagging.

On histor-style you can see the county-names in zoom 9 - 13. But you have very little “counties”. What with the place for the name?

For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed that not all changes render at the same time. Changes to my coastline, for example, usually take a day or so to show up even as the rest of the changes render within 5 minutes or so. This leads to temporary oddities like a new beach area that’s hugging the modified coastline showing up in its intended position while the coastline itself remains as it was.
I’ve observed the same with my county-level (admin_level=4) borders. If a county border is following a river, and I change the course of the river, the river change will render in 5 minutes, but the border change will take a day to catch up, even though the river and border reference the same way! Methinks it has to do with the zoom level at which the changes render.
TLDR: wait a day and everything will render as you expected.

Your counties are far too small. Realistically in the area you have created 13, you should probably only have one.
I see all the boundary lines, and zoomed in the county names along the boundaries as expected.
