JOSM problems

I installed JOSM, got the remote control and OGF API working, however, whenever I try to edit, it says “no data found in this area.

Any solutions?

Go try the download within JOSM itself and take a screengrab of any error you get. The most frequent is timeout or too large an area being requested.
