I created new infobox which works good enough for it’s purpose. Probably it can be improved but I don’t have experience with such things ;)
So, every World Cup has it’s page on wiki since today. Owners of host countries should fill some data:
- LOGO
- dates
- venues
- number of goals
- attendance
- top scorer
- best player
- best young player (less than 22 years)
- best goalkeeper
- fair play award (for country - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_World_Cup_awards#FIFA_Fair_Play_Trophy)

I am thinking about a poster to 2014 right now!!! hehehe
But I want make a “realistic” article. I will simulate all results before create the article to “my” World Cup. So, number of goals, for example, I will not create by myself. (Yes, I will simulate all results playing World Cup 2014 in Playstation3, hehehe)
And I can use too some pictures taken by my brother, because he went to two matchs in this last World Cup (ARG x BOS and BEL x RUS). Only two matchs but I think its enough to illustrate a article…

The problem is that everybody should now invent national player names so we can choose the best ones in every tournament.

You can create “temporary” player names, like “Ardispherian Player #23” etc., and fill them in. Then individual “owners” of their players can fix them later over time. You could even create a Talk: page in the wiki, with a heading like “Table of missing player names”, the same way the wiki allows us to see “missing categories” or “missing pages” (pages with links to them that don’t exist).

Create players I think it is not a problem. I create so much players in http://opengeofiction.net/wiki/index.php/Football_Leagues_in_Brasonia and I am needing a help about naming too. Please, anyone can edit, including new players from countries you are owners, even replacing a “no-name from Brasonia”.

The Latina players of 1974 are given in the “famous eleven” in the wiki for Latina football. For the others I will create in the next days.

I created my current national team yesterday. Now I need to do teams for every World Cup and Archanta Cup :D Let’s wait for others to have a wider choice of players.

Why not come up with a different name for the soccer organization other than using OGFIFA. There should be some uniqueness in the names of OGF organizations.

Yes, it seems a bit odd to have the official name starting with something intended to point out the fictitious aspect. It would be like calling it the ‘Imaginary Euro-Asian Project Sport Placeholder’. What about World Association Football Organisation (WAFO) or Football International (FI), or United Football Associations (UFA) or some combination of the above?

I think I may have been the one who first typed the letters “OGFIFA” but I totally agree with changing it. All of Sarepava’s suggestions look great to me.
There are a lot of mentions on the wiki though. If you do a wiki search for “OGFIFA” there are a couple of dozen page title matches and maybe twice as many page text matches… so there’s quite a bit of stuff to change…

Whatever, we can change it :) But I already made also like 30 articles about every OGFIFA WC so… that’s additional work to do. Maybe it can be done automatically?
