Today and tomorrow I have a lot of time but I’m tired, no ideas. I would like to ask community for advice and corrections for area of Anderton, so my project can benefit from the plenty of time. Thanks!
There’s so much here to look at and enjoy. I love the street layout and the buildings. It’s quite unusual to see a city which is being constructed in such a piecemeal fashion.
I think Marshes Bridge station looks a bit unusual. There is a lovely, neat space to have a traditional above ground terminus behind it and I think that would make more sense otherwise is just seems as if the tracks arbitrarily go underground.
It would make sense to have a few tracks go underground if they then continue across the city as a S-Bahn. The narrow bridges and so many terminus stations mean a real need for a rail link here.
Terminus stations also need space for concourse facilities in front of the buffers.
Any other important buildings you can add? Local and national government, hospitals, university, courts, airport, power station, schools, parks, sports stadia, fire stations, bus station, concert hall, theatre, museums, factories…
I like the style of your work! Your mapping is excellent and very British flavoured. I think it is really interesting to see how a user’s work is reflected based on different countries or regions. Glaster’s captital, Wyndham(yet unfinished), is somewhat based around Birmingham and Coventry.
Was there any specific place Anderton was based around?
I plan to create all of that but I try first of all imagine some history behind some area or
important building so it is hard for me to produce large areas or lot of buildings in short time.

Anderton area is primarily based on London urban system, but i use some concepts from French cities. I like the combination of the urban order of Paris and the creative chaos of London.
I think it’s a good looking stadium. I’d be interested to know more about the city. On the one hand it looks like a fairly British creation but I could also see it as a neo-classical fascist city. Having a stadium in the city centre suggests it might be used for rallies.
City was founded where trade route was crossing Steward River. It became seat of Edwards Family, and when Edwards become kings of Montran Anderton developed as kingdom capital.
Regarding Stadium it is modern building built on the site of industrial workers residential area, but I’m not sure is it too close to the city center.
Since you’ve stated that your stadium is a modern structure, I think it’s location depends on the land value prior to it’s construction. If the neighborhood was a slum or and old factory works it would make sense that a stadium would be built there to ‘clear out’ derelict properties. If it were a wealthier neighborhood, or an area that is historically significant, I think it would be harder to demolish an area that large.
Maybe the site was a former military barracks or an abandoned abbey or castle.
I think it depends on the history of your region too. If a massive fire swept through or war or some other disaster, the stadium could have been built to inspire hope and pride.
