@Ūdilugbulgidħū Very good idea, but the problem is that my country has never been a nuclear power, and so would not be able to conduct a nuclear test. Plus, the small size of my country means it would be rather awkward to conduct nuclear tests without significant damage to people, buildings or the environment. It would certainly be included if I were to obtain a larger territory in the future. Which raises a question: where are the world superpowers on OGF and which ones have nuclear capability?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other impact craters in OGF too. Maybe we need a wiki list.

One thing to be careful about when making these craters is figuring out how big they are and how old they are. It might not be realistic to have a crater that is really big and really new, haha. And older craters tend to get deformed in interesting ways, depending on local climate and geology… so anyone interested in adding a crater to their country may want to check craters in analogous Earth locations to get ideas about good sizes and shapes.

I’m having mine as a ‘complex crater’ around 390 million years old, and 30km across, with a 10km diameter lake inside, nearly the only trace of what remains. Some low hills to the south may mark the original rim of the crater, however.
