Hello, I am using All Electronic Tolling on toll roads in my country and I wondered if there is anything to class an AET gantry? I don’t want to use a toll booth as that indicates a conventional tolling scheme.

As far as I can figure out, OSM has no separate tagging schema to support automatic electronic toll systems. They just say to use barrier=toll_booth. Notably, the article on this tag says: “As the tag is defined for both, manual and automatic toll collection, it should also be applied for “toll bridges” that trigger the automatic collection, often with free traffic flow.”
There is some discussion on OSM pages that this is not completely clear, but there is no alternative at this time.
I will observe that at least in my dialect of American English (west coast, where toll roads are rare), I would refer to those overhead electronic toll detectors as “fastpass” or even just call it a “toll booth” - somewhat inaccurately.
I have assumed that these types of electronic “gates” are the main type in the Ardisphere. My collaborator, user wangi, has simply not labeled toll_booth on electronic-only “gates” on his work on the Autopista de Peaje Suroriental, instead naming exits “telepeaje” (a spanish term for remote toll): http://opengeofiction.net/#map=18/-24.45932/124.36923

I guess for now that would mean I can go without labelling toll gantries or put them as toll booths with a custom name.

For electronic only gantries I use barrier=toll_booth, with method=transponder; see http://opengeofiction.net/node/18066376 for example.

I picked this up from looking at OSM examples (can’t recall where, Houston TX is likely)
