Hello, I’ve been trying to make edits to my country, and every time I attempt to save it I get the error message “Precondition failed, cannot save way” and then another message saying “Document element should be osmChange.” I checked the ending of the data box and it did say osmChange. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Did you make changes to the coastline? I had a similar problem recently, and in my case it was probably caused by an editing conflict. Someone else was editing a coastline segment of the same continent (Uletha in this case) which caused conflicting changes to the “Uletha coastline” relation (http://opengeofiction.net/relation/10071).
Now obviously something like this can happen very easily, which in my opinion is a big drawback of maintaining this relation. Moreover, I must admit that I have difficulties to understand its usefulness, so unless there are very good reasons to keep it, I’d be for doing away with it.

It wasn’t changes to the coastline. Actually recently I made an edit heavily editing the coastline and it worked fine. I may have been overloading Potlatch by doing a lot of editing without saving when I couldn’t edit.
