You probably can get rid of it altogether and just upgrade the Stranton Road bridge and maybe Boundary Road to secondary or primary. Or you can link Stranton Road to Charles Street instead and upgrade Charles Street since it feeds directly into Southbank Drive.
The roads on the left bank will be upgraded in future, i just left them all as residential so they don’t influence me in the natural expansion of the city
I think that the “Riverside Express” & “South link” connection in unreal. Mostly because is too little distance betwen the conections and the river shore. In a real city that connection that tunnel should be very deep.
Southlink is rather useless- it would decrease traffic (if any) by little to no change. Just make a small bridge over the river- a completely new motorway for that is unnecessary.
Southlink seems a bit overdone, but that is not un-prototypical per se. Considering the relatively low number of road bridges you may have some serious traffic jams in your city center, so unleashing your inner Robert Moses to solve this is not too bad.
I worry a little about your scaling: some streets are only 20 metres apart, which is way too tight unless these are 19th century slums. Buildings also look small to me, like churches and station platforms.
@Marcello In areas like Herrison West, Halton, Wellington and Lathlain, every second street is a ‘service street’, these are laneways which do not have houses facing them, house only face onto the streets.
I am willing to put more bridges across the river, I am just unsure where to put them.
