It seems there are some new Islands known as “”"”XIAMO”””” that have mysteriously appeared on the globe but are not anywhere on the overview map. Are these part of the large COMMONIA territory or are they a new country founded by another OGF user.
Additionally it seems that there is a new country ‘’’’’'’KHATULISTIWA’’’’’’’ that was carved out of the COMMONIA territory as well. This will probably also need to be updated on the overview map as well.
As far as adding land areas. What is the overall policy on doing this in OGF.. I was under the assumption that we could modify our coastlines (within reason) and that to modify boundaries with neighoring country areas that we need to collaborate with our neighbor. If we want new territory that we should email and apply to have it assigned to us. But as far as creating new terriroty out of the sea without approval, I assumed this was not allowed since the land masses have been set in place. Do new land masses need to go through a moderator approval before they can be done?

Generally = The rules are clear. Everybody has its land. This land is so, as it is.
You can moderate change your coastline, to make it more “dramatic” or “idyllic”. You can set small islands (so to say not more as 25 km) in front of your coastline. And please - be careful with changings at the coastline!
You should not * set greater islands in front of your coastline without communication with an administrator. * set any island in the middle of the ocean without permission. If you had none, I will delete this island - may be there cities, streets and wood or not. * change the boundaries to a land beneath yours without communication with the landowner. If there is no owner, ask the administration.

I make khatulistiwa before i had my own territory…. Now i already delete all nodes at khatulistiwa so new user / other user can use it …

maybe i was too harsh regarding my post. I appreciate the creativity in both these areas. I wasnt sayin that these areas needed to be deleted. If anything KHATULISTIWA could have been changed from a sovereign nation to a state or territory of Commonia.
with XIAMO., is there anyone making a claim to these islands. or are they to be considered part of Commonia as well.

As I wrote - illegal islands in the middle of the ocean I have deleted. Equal right for all - if one it may be done, why not the others? So XIAMO did not more exist.

To be honest with you, I thought the islands were pretty well drawn out. It’s a shame they had to go :(

I dont find them well drawn. The greater looked like pancakes witout any elegance. But may they been well drawn or not - I do not like little imperialists, who draw island where none of them should be.
To tolerate one, who “X” has drawn means, to tolerate the second, that “Y” draw and later then “Z” means, all have the right, to set island, where wished. Sooner or later we have a lot of unowned land - but no more free ocean. I hope, you understand this.
If someone has a special reason for a new island - ask one of the administrators. And as written: Nobody says a word about decorative little islands in front of the coastline of a land.
By the way = a lot of land has no owner. So there is many place for constructive activities.
