You click edit, zoom in enough, then add a node/line/area and set appropriate tags, that’s it. Then you upload it and it appears on the map. You should really look at the two links Luciano sent you first though.

Ok guys I know that you can do that…. but how do you make your place official, as if I add a few houses, a feW streets, a few resturaunts or parks, how would I give the place a name? Like the whole area?

use the tag name=(the name you want)

You need to tag a node with approperiate tags: place=city place=town place=village place=borough AND a name tag: name=(name there) This is the simpliest thing you can do. I’m not getting into making boundary relations because that’s a thing for more advanced users. That said, there are so many different tags for places that it would propably be the best if I link you to the OpenStreetMap Wiki. It is a different project but most of the stuff there applies to OGF as well (as OGF is based on OSM).

Ok I made a town but I can’t find it on view! So I can’t share it with people…
