I think that shipping canals are quite an interesting feature, especially when it comes to locks. So here’s one I’ve been drawing today: Schleuse Blochfeld. It is part of Fora-Kelm-Kanal, the most important artificial inland waterway in Kalm and it connects to Kelm river and Kohnsee in the east and to Fora river north of Forberg in the west. It crosses a mid-sized mountain range and thus it is not a flat canal like Mittellandkanal in Germany, but more like Main-Donau-Kanal with a lock approx every 20 km.
Do you like such a map feature? And have you ever drawn locks in OGF?

Yes - I like this features. Looks good and accurate.
My locks are drawn at the canal of Mecyna (middle of Archanta).

Looks good - as all your work!
I have conceptualized some “stair-step” river locks along Río Hierro. And some waterfall bypass canals are in development, e.g. at Cataratas de la Luna. The main canal in Ardisphere is the Canal Manzanar connecting Lago Libertad with the Río Albañiles. Your work may inspire me to try to complete this work with more detail at some point.

What Luciano said: looks good, as all your work! I haven’t built any canals yet in Østermark yet, but eventually. These all give me good models to look at when I’m ready!

Once again the detail and believability of work in this area stands out. I can’t wait to see this city in its full extent and detail.
Locks are an often overlooked feature when considering waterways. Even modest rivers will have them if there is any kind of regular boat use. And there are other related features like weirs, marinas etc.

Yes, I like that concept.
