Nice layout. With a little detail work you can make it look very good. Smoothen some of the road curves, and rectangularize most buildings (use the rectangle tool). Also your buildings are relatively big - not unrealistic atm but when you start adding more, the average size should get much smaller.
Yes, I noticed that. I am working on an extension to that. I’ll also edit my coast a bit. I don’t have JOSM so I can’t edit as well, and for some reason, the “square” button doesn’t square it. It just does it halfway and stops.

Thanks for telling me. For some reason I have a problem with scale because in iD you can only edit at zoom 16 and below, so I’ve been adding what I think are normal buildings but are actually pretty big. I’ll work on that though.
I struggled with scaling when I started, too. Intuitive drawing usually lead to too big buildings. In iD, display the building near the distance bar in the lower left corner to get a rough measure before saving. It also helps to take a model building from real-world, e.g. from OpenStreetMap and try to draw roughly the same size.
The measurement box tool in iD can help you scale your buildings better. When editing, press ‘command’ and ‘I’ (or ‘control and ‘I’ on Windows) simultaneously to activate the tool.
You can measure one side of a simple building by drawing a temporary ‘measuring’ line along one of its sides in conjunction with the measurement box tool I mentioned above to get the length/width of one side of the building. In some cases, that length could also be the perimeter of one side of the building.

The city looks great!! I like the road layout the general design.
Nevertheless I notice that the coastlines are not curvy enough. And you might want to rectangularize those buildings.
