Add a node.
Listen, I don’t mean to offend you, but you really don’t have to document every step you make in here. For stuff like this, there is official help available at the OSM wiki.

In iD, add a node and then type in town and pick “Town”, give it a name. For example i’ve just added “Barndale” for the town you created: http://opengeofiction.net/node/50023655
