The admin team wants to hear your suggestions for naming our continents and oceans!
Submit your ideas by sending a message to admin by Tuesday, October 27. The admin team will then select our favorite suggestions for a community vote!
Tips:
- You can submit as many suggestions as you like, for each continent and each ocean.
- If you like, you can target your suggestions to a specific continent or ocean (using the letters A through G on the map above) or just submit general suggestions.
- If you like, you can include explanations for your suggestions. “It just sounds nice” is a perfectly fine explanation.
- Ideally we don’t want continent names that begin with A, T or U, since those letters already belong to the existing continents.
- Submit your suggestions via private message instead of posting them here.

Thanks, I think this will be a good step to ensure some more coherence throughout the wiki etc when it comes to naming geographical features :) I think we should strongly favour suggestions from users who are located at the respective oceans, especially if their nations have a rich history of sea exploration. For example, Kojo didn’t really play a major rule in the “discovery” of the “new” world (as far as I understood the large colonizing powers are mostly located in Uletha?), so it wouldn’t really make sense if Kojolese language or mythology was applied to the ocean names :)

True, any name that has a historical explanation needs to make historical sense. Naming an ocean after a movie star, for example, isn’t going to work.
At the same time, everyone is definitely encouraged to participate. People are free to make suggestions that are totally unrelated to their country, including suggestions without any historical explanation at all.
