I feel I’ve ground to a halt with Utterland. I know full well that I can do a heck of a lot more with the territory, but my inspiration has temporarily dried up.
I’ve been focusing on getting the road and rail networks sorted, but apart from places like Welle, Solsburg and Galmosen, not put a lot of detail into towns and cities (yet). I do realise that this is a long-term project (years), but would really appreciate some constructive input, hints and suggestions on how to go on from here. I’m not much into the Wiki thing; I want to focus on the mapping.

Suburbia- I think your cities end pretty much abruptly, at least if you are using area=residential area to represent your urban area. I personally would choose a city to start working on, not my capital but one of my larger or largest cities and start on using a lot of detail. That is a fun way in my opinion to work on your project, first thing you should do is think up housing stock then look for real world examples to copy from.

It is good that you focus more on mapping than the wiki, that was my mistake before they revoke my account. Maybe you can try to map a university or somewhat.
Maybe if you want to be creative, then try to adopt different mapping styles in your cities
