I’m not sure how to delete the nodes on my shoreline as I have too much :c. On JOSM I don’t know and on ID it takes forever and potlatch (the one I used to edit the shoreline) won’t load and I can only slowly delete the nodes. I need some help from anyone who knows how to use JOSM to delete nodes along my shoreline. Thanks!

I can’t really help (being too inexperienced myself), but please be careful. You could end up flooding your continent.

You do not have too many. At your densest, it’s around 70m between nodes.

If you’re getting an error in JOSM about too many nodes in your coastline you need to split your coastline up and keep the relation in tact. I’m not 100% sure on the process so perhaps someone more experienced could talk you through it.

When i had it loaded up in JOSM it didn’t complain about the length of the coastline (although it did for the boundaries). It’s a single way for the country, 130km. Select a node and then Tools/Split Way (keyboard: shift-P) will split it.
